We launched Modus with the goal of being the world’s best auditor, using technology. We believe audit is overlooked and deserves better technology, focus, and ultimately a higher quality service for clients. While the rest of public accounting is growing their Tax & CAS practices, we want to return the profession back to its roots and be known for delivering the highest quality audit services, in a fraction of the time.

Who are we? 

We’re 3 partners and best friends. Just like your firm, we’re an equal partnership, built on years of trust and friendship. We each bring a different skillset from Private Equity, AI, and Operations which allows us to work well together as a partnership. Our goal is to build a a great CPA firm, and have fun while doing it. 

We partner with firms by:

1. Invest capital upfront to acquire a majority stake of your firm

   1. This enables senior partners to get full value for their hard earned equity day 1

2. Bring our engineering team, 100% free of charge, to jointly develop automations bespoke for your practice 

   1. Goal is to drive efficiency and capacity without having to offshore such that we can take on new work without worrying about hiring 

3. Grow the pie for everyone, not cut compensation via a scrape

   1. Create strong incentive structures for leadership and younger partners

   2. Every employee should make more money under Modus than independently

4. Provide capital & pipeline for M&A such that you can be the largest player in your market 

5. Network of Modus partner firms create symbiotic relationship where you can focus on what your practice does best, and still get compensated for referring your clients
